It also prevents separation problems like pigment floating, flooding and silking and provides mar resistance.

Reduces surface friction of coating by imparting a high degree of slip.The scratch resistance of the coating improves significantly and presumably coats the individual pigment particles to prevent them from coalescing. The additive prevents one pigment of a multi-pigment system from agglomerating in masses or floating to the surface of the paint Film. Amount used ranges from 0.05-1.0% weight percent based on the total formulation. It can be incorporated at any stage of the production process or added during final let-down.
